In some better alternate reality, I spent today at the park with Aaron, lounging on the curved stone statue by the water. We had our hoodies to keep us warm, and we read a book in the sunlight.
When it started getting cooler, we took a slow walk on the hill and back to the car, and then drove to the movie theater, watching the streetlights blink on one by one.

But instead, I went to work. Coming out of my apartment, I was carrying a foldover butter sandwich, my lunch in a Chipotle brown bag, and my backpack while trying to lock the door. My neighbor's boyfriend happened to be knocking on her door right as I was leaving...he gave me an amused look and said, "Off to school?" and I immediately felt like some tow-headed eleven-year-old, barefoot and on my way down the dusty road to the schoolhouse.

Then I got off sorta late from work, and the parking lot was empty, so I tried out my skateboard a little. I fell.
Here is a picture of my war wounds:

Then I came home and went to the mall with Elissa, where they did not have my size in the shoes I wanted anywhere. I resisted temptation though, to buy a very useless packet of things at Victoria's Secret. So that was good. And no, I would never call panties useless. It was some other stuff.

What is "some other stuff"? I will follow that question with an "ew."
